About gostworks
A one-man show
Who are you?
My name is Göran Strand and I have been interested in computers and programming since the early 80s. My first computer was a ZX Spectrum, followed by a Commodore 128, an Amiga 500, an Amiga 1200, and eventually the grown-up world of PCs. Today I work as a freelance photographer, but I still enjoy programming in my spare time.
So what’s with the name gostworks?
When I made my first website back in the 90s, I called it gostworks. It was a play on words using my first and last name, with “works” added at the end. The name stuck with me, and I have used it ever since.
What do you do?
Ever since childhood, I have enjoyed developing my own board games and, later, computer games. Lately, I have once again found the inspiration to develop new ideas and games, just for the fun of it.
Why do you make these games?
Mostly because I enjoy the process and the excitement of seeing an idea come to life. Usually, all my games or apps have some connection to my youth or to something I like to play myself.
Can I support your work?
Yes. All support is much appreciated. It helps me keep developing new games, improving existing ones, and spending more time on these small independent projects.
