Yatzykollen Privacy Policy

Yatzykollen is developed and provided by Fotograf Goran Strand AB, Sweden ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Yatzykollen iPhone app.
Information handled on your device
Yatzykollen processes photographs of score sheets and the information you enter or confirm, including player names and initials, individual scores, game dates, saved rounds, drafts, custom sheet layouts and app preferences. Records and statistics are calculated from your saved rounds.
Image analysis and handwriting recognition take place on your device. The app does not send your photographs, player names, scores or corrections to us or to an online recognition or model-training service. We cannot access this information through the app. No account is required, and the app contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics software.
Camera and photo selection
The app requests camera permission when you choose to photograph a score sheet. Camera images are used to help align the sheet and capture the photograph for review. You can manage camera permission in iOS Settings. If you decline it, you can still choose an existing photograph or enter scores manually.
When you choose a photograph, the app uses Apple’s system photo picker and receives the image you select. It does not request access to browse your entire photo library. Selecting an image stored in iCloud may require a download through Apple’s services. The app does not request microphone or location access.
Local storage and retention
Score-sheet photographs are stored as compressed copies in the app’s private storage alongside your game data. Custom sheet layouts may also include a reference photograph. These copies allow you to reopen and review a sheet later. The app does not modify or delete the original image in your Photos library.
Your saved data remains on your device until removed using the available app controls or by deleting the app. You can delete drafts and edit player details. Archiving a player hides that player from the active list; it does not erase their identity or previous results. Older locally saved handwriting examples, if present, may remain in the database and backups; they are not uploaded to us.
Deleting the app removes its local data. Offloading the app is different and may retain its documents and data. Deleting the app does not remove original images in Photos, exported backup files or copies already held in device backups. Manage those copies separately using the relevant Apple or storage-service controls.
Backups, export and import
You can export a backup containing player details, individual scores, saved rounds, drafts, dates, custom sheet layouts, saved photographs, preferences and any older handwriting examples. The backup is not password-protected by Yatzykollen. Store it securely and share it only with people or services you choose.
Export uses the system file picker. If you save a backup in iCloud Drive or another cloud location, that provider handles the file according to its own settings and privacy policy. Importing a backup replaces the current app database rather than merging two databases. Yatzykollen does not operate its own cloud account, sync or backup service.
App data may also be included in your iPhone’s normal device backups, depending on your settings. Those backups are managed by Apple or by you, not by us.
Apple services and TestFlight
Apple handles App Store distribution and purchases. We do not receive your payment-card information. Apple may process diagnostics and usage information under your Apple settings and its own policies.
If you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects test usage and crash information and shares it with the developer. Depending on how you were invited, reports may include your name and email address. Feedback you choose to submit through TestFlight may include your message, screenshots and diagnostic information. We use these reports to investigate problems and improve Yatzykollen, and keep any copies we retain only as long as needed for those purposes. This is separate from Yatzykollen’s on-device score-sheet processing.
Support communications
If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your contact details, message and attachments. Send only the score-sheet images or backup files needed for your request; they may contain other players’ names and results.
We use support information to respond to your request and resolve the issue, and retain it only as long as needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information you have provided. We cannot retrieve or change data stored only on your device.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its privacy practices change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
